A text for learning the rules which govern the Italian language in a gradual way and for reinforcing one’s knowledge.
A grammar book designed to get learners of Italian as a second or foreign language to think about and acquire further knowledge of the grammatical choices that language users make at the levels of the text, sentence, form and structure.
The text describes and explains how to use the various grammatical structures in a sequence which takes into account the fact that language acquisition is a process which occurs gradually. By means of guided reflection strategies, it makes the learner observe language features before identifying and explaining grammatical rules.
The learner’s observation process is guided by means of a variety of texts belonging to different genres and contexts of experience, and which are of graduated morpho-syntactic complexity and length. The texts have been chosen so as to give the students an insight into the Italian culture, and to illustrate a variety of textual genres (such as advertisements , radio news, news reports, and reviews).
This grammar book is divided into 30 units and first covers topics such as phonology and spelling and then morphology, phrase and sentence structure.
Every topic is organized into two levels (up to level B2) according to the QCE levels of language.
